The hearings are meant to help voters guide the constitution review process. The first meeting is scheduled for the University of Central Florida on Wednesday March 29 th. Then the board will head south, with a stop at Florida International University on April 6 th and at Florida Atlantic University on April 7 th. The last scheduled meeting is slated for the University of West Florida on April 12 th. Notably, all of the hearings will take place during the busy legislative session. That could pose a scheduling conflict for the five members who are lawmakers. Any amendments the group drafts will go directly to the 2018 ballot for voter approval.
