Oceans of Pink highlights the rise in popularity of dragon boat racing among breast cancer survivors across Florida and the participation in the sport among Hispanic women. 

  

  MAN WHO BUILT MIAMI BEACH - History

  Miami Beach was incorporated as a city 100 years ago by a group of visionary pioneers, but it was one of them - a colorful industrialist with a knack for publicity named Carl Fisher - who was most responsible for transforming a swampy jungle into the glamorous tourist resort of today.

  

  THE FIRST MIAMIANS - History

  Long before the first American pioneers established homesteads on the Miami River, its banks were occupied by the Tequestaindians. Today, archeologists have discovered the remnants of a Tequesta fishing village on a development site in downtown Miami, and what they are finding is completing a vivid picture of what life was like for this prehistoric community of first Miamians.

 

   EVERGLADES SAFARI WITH REY BECERRA - Nature/Environment

    

  With the Cypress National Park as the backdrop, host Rey Becerra goes in search of wildlife. In this first episode, Rey looks for the iconic bald eagle. Rey However, most Floridians do not know much about this fragile land. Viewers will learn this magnificent bird's characteristics, behaviors, dietary needs, population decline and measures for its conservation.

From Key West to the Gulf of Mexico, we chronicle this sightseeing adventure with Charlie Carlson, Florida’s Master of the Weird and his traveling companion Miss Scarlet.    PLIGHT OF THE PLUME BIRDS tells the story of how at the turn of the 19th century wading birds of the Everglades came close to extinction as plume hunters slaughtered them for the rapacious millinery. 

    NIXON'S THE ONE: THE '68 ELECTION- Historical Documentary

Narrated by Dick Cavett, Nixon’s the One: The ’68 Election (And How It Changed America) chronicles not only Richard Nixon’s stunning victory in the 1968 presidential race, but the ways in which that historic election gave rise to Red State-Blue State America. 

 

   ALL SHOOK UP: MIAMI'S GLORY DAYS OF MUSIC - Nostalgia

 
   All Shook Up: Miami’s Glory Days of Music traces this rich history of music in Miami. Told by those who lived it, witnessed it, played it and created it, this is a musical journey of two best decades in musical history, the '50's and '60's.  Through in-studio interviews, rare photos, original recordings and archive film, the musical landscape of South Florida unfolds.
 

  WEIRD FLORIDA: ON THE ROAD AGAIN - Travel/History/Mystery

  

  Florida's Master of the Weird, Charlie Carlson and his canine companion, Lady isabel hit the road in search of more wild, wacky and weird adventures all over the Sunshine State. They travel over 1500 miles in search of unusual people and places . . . and find Florida’s best-kept secrets and oddest legends!

KEY WEST WRECKERS tells the story of a thriving industry where wreckers made a good living by salvaging the beleaguered ships and their valuable cargo and crew.     During the golden age of sail, over 100 ships per day passed by Key West.
