Sand Sculptures Emerging On Key West Beach

An international, but temporary, art installation is taking shape on the shore of Key West.

The International Sand Art competition winds up Saturday, with judging scheduled for the afternoon.

The public can cast their votes for the People's Choice award from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event, on the grounds of the Casa Marina Resort, is free and open to the public. A "beach bash" is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 5, followed by live music.
