Shelter Pets Enhancing Lives

7pm SHELTER ME - Documentary - An uplifting film series that celebrates shelters pets and the people who help them.

Shelter Me: Community Matters is hosted by Dr. Jane Goodall and features shelter dogs that are trained to protect elephants in Africa. We also visit an animal shelter where teens provide comfort to dogs and cats waiting to be adopted by reading to them. And we join up with a high school cross country team that runs with shelter dogs, providing exercise, fun and a chance for a new home!

8pm NATURE - Documentary

MY CONGO – Wildlife cameraman Vianet Djenguet discovers an "African Eden" in his homeland, the Congo, and finds a jungle tribe that reveres his great-grandfather.

Despite the number of years living and working as a wildlife cameraman in Europe, Vianet D’jenguet always carried fond childhood memories of the Congo wherever he traveled. “My Congo” represents his first opportunity to film in his native country and he takes viewers to his favorite places to witness the diversity of wildlife, stunning landscapes, and friendly people.
