Teen Angst and Writer's Block

8pm - 800 WORDS - Drama/Comedy - A heartwarming tale about a family starting over in the wake of tragedy.  Moving to a small coastal town, the Turners quickly become center of attention by the weird and wonderful locals.

George struggles to deal with Shay in the wake of all the trouble, feeling Laura's absence more than ever. Under stress, he also has trouble writing his column.
 

9pm VERA - Crime Drama - With her caustic wit and singular charm, DCI Vera Stanhope and her team face a series of captivating murder mysteries set against the breathtaking Northumberland landscape.

PROTECTED - DCI Vera Stanhope and DS Joe Ashworth investigate the murder of David Kenworthy, found dead on the beach at Whitley Bay. Although spotted in an argument with a local business owner earlier that night, Vera digs into the past uncovering that the Kenworthy family and their business is not as respectable as it appears. When a second death occurs, Vera is faced with pressure to solve the case quickly; she must use all her tenacity to expose the rift in the heart of the fractured family.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
