Welcome to ArtStreet

Everything You Wanted To Know About The Arts

ArtStreet is a production of WLRN Channel 17, a PBS station in South Florida.

ArtStreet showcases actors, visual artists, musicians, dancers and others involved in the creative process. We tell stories about exceptionally creative people and organizations that enrich our community. We believe that creativity is contagious, and that the arts can inspire and enhance our lives in ways that no other disciplines can.

The show began as a quick conversation between Producer Meredith Porte and Executive Producer Adrienne Kennedy as they talked about what the community needed. While other shows usually take months to develop, this program went from concept to broadcast very quickly.

ArtStreet has evolved over the years. For the first four years, we did interviews in the studio along with a few field pieces, music performances, and film and book reviews... We later decided to take the show outside, doing all of our stories in the field. We organized a team of enthusiastic and talented producers in search of stories about fascinating and inspiring people and organizations.
