How Can You Help?

You can help the Radio Reading Service by making a tax-deductible contribution to the service. A $150 contribution will provide a radio receiver and service for lifetime to a print handicapped individual in our community. Your company may have a matching gift program that will match your financial contribution to the Radio Reading Service.Check with your personnel department. You can encourage your civic association or service club to support the Radio Reading Service by helping the service purchase radio receivers for individuals in our community.	You can also help the Radio Reading Service by donating your time. The Radio Reading Service can't exist without the skills and dedication of volunteer readers. It currently takes more. * Excellent knowledge of the pronunciation of names in the news * We prefer volunteers who listen to or watch broadcast news as well as read a daily newspaper * Excellent pronunciation * Good projection * Nice inflection * A pleasant voice: we avoid weak or high voices * A smooth reading ability Readers typically volunteer at the Radio	Reading Service three times a month, 1-2 hours a visit, depending on their assignment.To volunteer give us a call at (305) 995-2218.
