Of three tropical waves traveling across the Atlantic, one is expected to reach Florida as a tropical storm, forecasters say.

A tropical depression in the Atlantic is expected to become Tropical Storm Laura sometime Thursday and may bring stormy conditions to South Florida this weekend and early next week, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Of the three waves making their way across the Atlantic, it’s second in line.
