A tropical depression in the Atlantic is expected to become Tropical Storm Laura sometime Thursday and may bring stormy conditions to South Florida this weekend and early next week, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Of the three waves making their way across the Atlantic, it’s second in line.
The track shifted a little to the south early Thursday and shows the system moving near the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico, toward the Bahamas and Florida in the next few days.
