The last day to register to vote in Florida for the November election is Oct. 5, 2020.

If you’re a first time voter interested in sharing what issues you care about, we want to hear from you.

This election season, there's been an overwhelming push in Florida to get new voters registered with a plan in place — for how and when they'll vote — before participating in the voting process.

The coronavirus pandemic has cast a large shadow over the 2020 election, according to Pew Research. About half of registered voters in the U.S. say it will be difficult to cast a ballot this year.

In these uncertain times, you can rely on WLRN to keep you current on local news and information. Your support is what keeps WLRN strong. Please become a member today. Donate now. Thank you.

Are you a first-time voter or do you know someone who is? If you’re a U.S. citizen living in Florida or living abroad with a Florida residency, we want to hear from you about what's bringing you to the polls and the issues that matter to you.

This year, more voters are expected to vote before Election Day. As a result, the number of mail-in-ballots that has been requested in Florida is much higher than usual. Nearly 4 million Floridians have already asked for a vote-by-mail ballot ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
