Kristin Moorehead
WLRN 2021 Summer InternKristin Moorehead is a recent graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Telecommunication.
She has worked on many award-winning radio projects at WUFT in Gainesville, including podcasts like 4 Days, 5 Murders, From the Front Lines, and more. She has also anchored live Morning Edition broadcasts, and co-produces a daily Florida news podcast called The Point.
Kristin has been an activist in the Tourette Syndrome community for years. She has given presentations about TS to schools and organizations across Florida, and has attended multiple national conferences with the Tourette Association of America.
In her free time, you can find her sewing, exploring new restaurants or shopping at a local thrift store.
Over the summer, Kristin will be interning at WLRN. She hopes to strengthen her reporting skills and learn from the talented staff here. The thing she’s most excited about is immersing herself in South Florida culture and community. After her internship, she will be returning to UF to complete a masters degree.
