www.wm.com

09/17/14 - On Wednesday’s Topical Currents, we continue our series “All in a Day’s Work”, with Waste Management Sanitation workers, Tonya Williams, Richard Gillyard and Dave Allison.  Ms. Williams drives a residential sanitation truck, Mr. Gillyard handles commercial pickups and Mr. Allison is a route manager for the Waste Management System. Each will offer her or his story of their work day, the challenges they face and the training that prepared them to deal with those challenges. That’s All in a Day’s Work with Broward sanitation workers, on Topical Currents, Wednesday at 1:00pm on WLRN.

Richard Ives came to WLRN in September 2000 to begin a new career in radio. Born in Fort Lauderdale, his family moved to Long Island, New York, where he grew up. After graduation from college and an unsatisfying stint in a job that, as he puts it, "paid the bills but for which I had no passion" he found himself contemplating a midlife career change after being laid-off.
