Two Broward teachers are banned from teaching in Florida schools for the near future after one was accused of forcefully grabbing an 11-year-old boy’s neck and another was accused of dropping a 4-year-old two feet to the ground.
Samuel Parrondo, 44, was fired from his $49,000-a-year job teaching special needs students at Olsen Middle in Dania Beach on Sept. 4 for an altercation with a student that happened in 2016.
Although he escaped discipline from the district, the state recently investigated and suspended his teaching license for a one-year. That makes him unable to teach in Broward or anywhere else in the state until August. 2020.
