Chilly Nights Ahead For South Florida With Temps Dipping To 50s

Sun Sentinel
As sure as the sun rises on Fort Lauderdale beach, the temperature will fall in the days ahead as a weak cold front is forecast to sweep across the state, forecasters say.

After a few days of above normal temperatures, South Florida is in for a slight cool down that will last into the new week.

Friday’s high will reach 83 degrees but skies will become partly cloudy by the evening with a 20 percent chance of scattered showers and a low of 68 degrees overnight, forecasters said.

As the weak cold front moves through, Saturday morning will be cloudy with a slight chance of rain and a high near 76. Skies will clear by the afternoon and the temperature will drop to the upper 50s Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
