Statewide Coronavirus Cases Approach the 41,000 Mark
Updated Monday at 12:35 p.m.
The state got closer to 41,000 positive cases of COVID-19 as Florida’s Department of Health confirmed an additional 386 cases of COVID-19 on Monday morning. Florida has a total of 40,982 confirmed cases.
Monday's update also included the announcement of 14 new deaths, increasing the statewide number to 1,735. Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties make up 986 of those reported deaths. Monroe County has reported three deaths due to COVID-19.

In Palm Beach County Businesses Begin Phase 1 Of Reopening

Restaurants will buzz with conversation again and malls will echo with the steps of shoppers, as normal life starts to return to Palm Beach County.
The version of “normal life” that begins Monday will involve masks, strict cleaning routines and requirements that restaurants operate at 25 percent capacity. But many see it as an improvement over the COVID-19-driven economic paralysis of the past several weeks.
With Gov. Ron DeSantis’ announcement Friday that much of the county’s economy could reopen Monday, restaurant owners have called back employees. Several malls have announced reopening dates. Hair and nail salons are getting ready to repair the damage from experiments in home grooming.
