While Hurricane Dorian finally starts to march northward off Florida’s east coast after inching away from the Bahamas, a new tropical storm — Gabrielle — formed early Wednesday in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
Gabrielle joins Tropical Storm Fernand, which came to life Tuesday in the Gulf of Mexico, and two other weather systems being monitored by the National Hurricane Center.
The good news about Gabrielle is that it is not currently forecast to reach land and it is not expected to become a hurricane.
