Monday 10pm - A PBS NewsHour Special RACE MATTERS: AMERICA IN CRISIS focuses on the outrage over police brutality.
In the days since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody, there have been peaceful protests, violent clashes and persistent calls for justice. This response reflects the "accumulated grievance" of Black America.
PBS NewsHour’s virtual town hall, Race Matters: America in Crisis, is a one-hour special that focuses on the frustration pouring out onto American streets, outrage about police brutality and America’s deep systemic racial disparities in the economy, education, criminal justice system and health care, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also include grassroots voices from around the country and a roundtable of thought leaders, newsmakers and experts.
