WLRN reporter Tim Padgett has been covering the family that took in suspected school shooter Nikolas Cruz after the death of his mother last November. He spoke of the public scrutiny the family is under following last week's shooting and the measures they took to help the teen while living with him. 

WLRN reporter Caitlin Switalski joined us from the scene where Marjory Stoneman Douglas High students were preparing to board busses bound for Tallahassee to meet with state lawmakers.

Republican state Sen. Rene Garcia, who represents the Hialeah area, shares his ideas for school safety reform.
