As Hurricane Irma continues, WLRN is is working with a team of journalism students, faculty and staff to identify social media dispatches that tell the story of the storm through the eyes of the people experiencing it.

A team of journalism students, faculty and staff from the Missouri School of Journalism and KBIA in Columbia, Mo. monitored social media platforms for live updates from Floridians waiting out the storm.

As the storm progresses, WLRN and its partners will continue to update this interactive graphic with new firsthand accounts of Hurricane Irma and its impact on the community.
