Senator Manny Díaz Jr. On Transportation And Education

Republican State Senator Manny Díaz Jr., representing District 36, which includes Hialeah, is pushing for legislation that would dissolve the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX)and create a new entity called Greater Miami Expressway Agency. Under GMX, toll rates would remain in place, but the governance structure of the toll board would change and be run by county and Tallahassee appointees. Sen. Díaz joined Sundial to talk about the future of MDX.

WLRN-TV Documentary A Turtle’s Tale

WLRN-TV's newest documentary “Troubled Waters: A Turtle’s Tale”explores the impact of human behavior on our environment through the lens of one of South Florida’s most beloved and fragile underwater creatures: the sea turtle. Dr. Jeanette Wyneken, a professor of biology at Florida Atlantic University was interviewed for the documentary and  joined Sundial to talk about how the warming climate is having a disastrous impact on sea turtle populations here in South Florida. The documentary premieres tonight at 9 p.m.  

The Fight For The Latino Vote In Florida

Jonathan Blitzer, a reporter for the New Yorker has been reporting on the fight for the Latino vote in Florida.He joined Sundial to talk about what he learned about winning the Latino vote from talking to a number of Republican and Democratic politicians, strategists and policy experts in the state.
