Movies Murder and Mobsters

Tuesday 8pmDEATH IN PARADISECrime Drama THE WRONG MAN When DI Humphrey Goodman and his team are called to investigate a murder on a film set; they are left baffled when they realize the wrong person has been killed.

Thea Holmes, stand-in for her friend, movie star Lexi Cunningham, is poisoned on the set of a horror movie being made on the island. While Thea served time years earlier for a mugging gone wrong, Goodman believes the intended victim was actually Lexi. Screenwriter Arnold Finch openly dislikes her and had looked up poisons online while Lexi was about to expose director Carl Collins’ affair to his wife. After another suspect seemingly commits suicide the case appears to be closed but Goodman uncovers a deception, which leads to the murderer.

Extra Innings Frankie suspects sabotage when a baseball player dies mid-game. Her investigation puts her at odds with ruthless mobster Bessie Starkman.

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
