NBC Announces Lineup Of Upcoming Democratic Debates In Miami

We now know which Democratic presidential candidates will face off during the upcoming debates in Miami. NBC announced the matchups Friday, which were decided by drawing names in New York City.

The Democratic Party's first debates ahead of the 2020 presidental primary will be held on June 26 and 27 at the Adrienne Arsht Center. They will be broadcast live by NBC, MSNBC and Telemundo from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. both nights, and on NBC and Telemundo’s digital platforms.  

The lineup announcement comes a day after the Democratic National Committee released the names of the candidates that either raised enough money or did well enough in three polls to qualify. Ten candidates will participate each night. 

Candidates debating on the night of June 26: New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker; Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren; Fmr. Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke; Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar; Fmr. Maryland Rep. John Delaney; Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard; Fmr.Housing Secretary Julián Castro; Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan; New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio; and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee. 

Candidates debating on the night of June 27: Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders; California Sen. Kamala Harris; Fmr. Vice President Joe Biden; South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg; Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet; Author Marianne Williamson; California Rep. Eric Swalwell; New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand; Entrepreneur Andrew Yang; and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper.
