Ex-state Senator DanGelberwas at theCristcampaign party Tuesday. He says the state Democratic party was far outspent by Republicans in the governor’s race.

“We came upon - you know - a mountain of money and we did our best, but we fell short. So it hurts a lot,” he said. “But you know look - if you love Florida, and your dream is for the right reasons, you pick yourself up, you dust yourself off and you move forward. And I think we’ll do that.”

More than $150 million dollars was spent in Florida’s governor’s race this year.

Republicans outspent Democrats by a two to one margin.
