Every building in a Plantation shopping center has been declared unsafe after a tremendous explosion there nine days ago.

Whether the buildings will ever reopen is unclear. Mayor Lynn Stoner did not respond to requests for comments by email, text or cellphone to explain whether the buildings at the Market on University shopping center must be demolished or can be repaired.

An investigation continues into the cause of the explosion, which destroyed a former pizzeria, blew out windows throughout the shopping center and injured 23 people.
