03/16/16 - Wednesday’s Topical Currentsis devoted to a vibrant South Florida figure, who has

contributed to the quality of life for many decades, and on many fronts.  She’s Ruth Shack, winner of the 2016 “Community Champion Award.”  In the early 1970s—and in then “Dade” County--she sponsored an initiative for gay rights which sparked a national controversy.  But there’s so much more, especially in the world of civic philanthropy and the arts. We’ll explore more . . . Topical Currents Wednesday at 1pm.
