Professional golfer Tiger Woods was arrested Monday morning and charged with a DUI.
Jupiter Police arrested the 41-year-old and he was booked into a Palm Beach County jail about 7 a.m., according to county jail records. He was released on his own recognizance about 10:50 a.m.
Woods, whose career has been plagued by injury, wrote on Wednesday in a blog post that he is currently recovering from fusion surgery on his back and hasn’t felt “this good in years.” After injury sidelined him from the 2017 Masters Tournament in April, Woods wrote on his blog that he remained confident he would return to the professional circuit.
“My surgeon and physiotherapist say the operation was successful. It’s just a matter of not screwing up and letting it fuse. I’m walking and doing my exercises, and taking my kids to and from school. All I can do is take it day by day. There’s no hurry,” he wrote.
