Voters Turned Away At Ferguson Senior High Before Polls Closed

Wikipedia

A few voters at the John A. Ferguson Senior High School polling location in West Kendall were turned away before the polls closed at 7 p.m.

Orlando Duluc says he was turned away at 6:49 p.m.

"[At] 6:49, they say they are closed. They say the machines stopped just before 7 and that we cannot get in," he said.

WLRN intern Gregory Castillo was at the polling location when he heard an election official tell a voter that "it doesn't matter if it's five minutes off, it's whatever the election says."

Voters started chanting "Let them vote! Let them vote!" after the doors were closed.
