Gov. Rick Scott’s office on Tuesday announced four new nontravel related Zika cases in Wynwood and one on the state’s west coast, in Pinellas County.
Despite the case in Pinellas County, which contains Clearwater and St. Petersburg, the Florida Department of Health insists it “still believes ongoing active transmission is only taking place within the small identified areas in Wynwood and Miami Beach in Miami-Dade County.”
The state’s total number of non-travel related cases is 42.
