Cinnamon roll limit, strawberry picking returns: Knaus Berry Farm unveils changes for the new season

Knaus Berry Farm, known for its fresh cinnamon rolls and long lines in the pursuit of them, will set a purchase limit on its most famous product as it opens for the new season earlier than ever.
Knaus Berry Farm in the Redland area of South Miami-Dade County will implement new improvements to their business for their 2026-2027 season.
The small businessAs it is celebratesting its 70th anniversary, the South Florida staple has announced its upcoming 2026-2027 season — set to begin on Oct. 13 — will feature some changes aimed at improving the customer experience.
"We're very excited to be opening in the middle of October, two months earlier than last year," said Joel White, general manager and partner at Knaus Berry Farm. "Based on the earlier opening, we anticipate lines will be shorter.”

Several changes have been made sincewere already made last year after the new owners took over the farm, like the introduction of accepting credit cards and an online ordering system. New to tThis yearr's system, Knaus will also have a fourth register and cashier, as well as a QR cCode ordering system.

A Cap on Cinnamon Rolls
The most intriguing change, however, involvesis a purchasing limit to their famous cinnamon rolls. The baked goods are considered to be the main catalyst of visits to Knaus Berry Farm. Purchases will be capped at four dozen cinnamon rolls per guest at the location.

This year also launches their e farm shop will also launch a new advance ordering system, where even larger orders of four to twelve dozen can be placed , the only caveat being that they won’t come fresh from the oven. Advanced ordering entails pre-bagged rolls for car pick up, separate from the main farm stand line. Pickup days for advanced ordering will be released one month in advance, with a limited number of morning time slots.
LStarting in November, arge gatherings and events can even submit a custom order request requests for orders larger than twelve dozen can be made through the Knaus Berry Farm website. for orders even larger than twelve dozen. This form of ordering will only start in November.
Knaus bakery overseer Thomas Blocher will remain involved as a kitchen consultant to keep the cinnamon rolls exactly the same quality that customers have been enjoying for years.
The Return of U-Pick Strawberries
TheU-Pick, the farm's well-known strawberry picking will be returningexperience, is also set to return in December for the first time following the move to Knaus’s new farm location. 25,000 strawberries will be planted in collaboration with Accursio farms. Guests can once again come and pick their own strawberries at the farm, as was done in the prior location.
The Knaus Berry Farm team will share an official launch date for U-Pick in early December, but the current prediction is for the strawberries to be ready by Christmas.
U-Pick is expected to be available Thursday through Sunday.

An Earlier Opening
Knaus Berry Farms is expected to open October 13, which is much sooner than their usual start date. This is an intentional move in hopes to extend their operating season.

Knaus Berry Farm also announced that some menu items will not be making a return, such as shakes and slushies, made with local mango picked over the summer, along with homemade guava and hot pepper guava jellies and U-Pick strawberries..
Other improvements to the farm include doubling the amount of parking spaces and increased menu signage in the waiting line.
The new owners made all updates with the guest experience in mind.
Knaus will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m.A.M to 5:00 p.m.P.M. The farm is located at 16790 SW 177th Ave, Miami, FL 33187.
