City of Miami gears up for fiscal year 2026 budget talks

Fiscal year 2026 has begun, and local governments are gearing up for the next round of budget talks.
In the City of Miami, administration officials will hold two public community meetings to talk about the city budget this week.
Tonight at 6:30, Miami residents can visit the recreation building at Shenandoah Park for an open budget meeting.
Tomorrow evening, the city budget team will set up shop at Charles Hadley Park at 6 p.m.
Attendees will get a chance to ask questions and give input on where their tax dollars are going.
Official budget hearings at city hall will begin in September.
