Sales Tax 'Holiday' Begins Today

A three-day tax “holiday” for back-to-school shoppers will begin Friday. During the holiday, shoppers will be able to avoid paying sales taxes on clothes costing $60 or less, school supplies costing $15 or less and on the first $1,000 of the price of personal computers or related accessories. Lawmakers approved the tax holiday during this year’s legislative session
