Rep. Frederica Wilson Talk About Hurricane Relief in the Bahamas

U.S. Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, a Democrat representing Florida's 24th district, which includes parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties, is a native Bahamian. Recently, she introduced a bill that would grant Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Bahamians in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. She joined Sundial and talked with host Luis Hernandez about TPS for Bahamians and the relief efforts her office is participating in. 

Book In Response To Parkland Shooting

Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow died in the Parkland shooting, critically examines the policies taken by Broward County Schools before and after the mass shooting  in a new book, "Why Meadow Died: The People and Policies that Created the Parkland Shooter." "My daughter would've wanted me to know what happened - the people that let her down," said Pollack on Sundial. He joined the show to share the steps he thinks the school district should have taken to increase security. 

Basketball Player Amar’e Stoudamire

Florida native and all-star basketball player Amar’e Stoudamire is back in South Florida. The former Miami Heat player has enrolled and started classes at Florida International University. Stoudamire recently converted to Judaism and joined Sundial to talk about the intersections of race, faith and basketball.
