The Keys Flooding, Argentina's Elections & Wynwood Tri-Rail

The Wynwood Business Improvement District is proposing a new Tri-Rail station in the Wynwood neighborhood.

The Keys Flooding

Stillwright Point, a low-lying neighborhood in Key Largo, has been experiencing intense street flooding since September. The warmer ocean temperature and high tides have forecasters expecting the neighborhood won't be dry until November. Rhonda Haag, Sustainability Director for Monroe County in the Florida Keys joins Sundial to discuss how the county will address the flooding in the coming weeks. 

Argentina’s Elections

Center-left candidate Alberto Fernández has been elected Argentina's new president. Benjamin Gedan, former South America director on the National Security Council in the Obama White House and now, deputy director at the Latin American program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, joins Sundial to discuss the country’s economic downfall that might have been key in voting out Mauricio Macri out of the presidential office. Also, WLRN’s America’s Correspondent Tim Padgett gives a rundown on how the election played out.

Wynwood Tri-Rail 

The Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID)is proposing a new Tri-Rail station in the Wynwood neighborhood. Wynwood BID is led by local property owner Bill Rammos, who believes a rail station will be important to reduce future traffic congestion. Rammos and BID member Albert Garcia both commissioned a study to look at how the neighborhood would improve is Tri-Rail is approved and joined Sundial to talk about the future of the rail station.
