Canadians handed a stunningly decisive victory last night to Justin Trudeau, the young leader of the Liberal Party. He beat out long-time Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Conservative Party to win an outright parliamentary majority.
Trudeau is no stranger to the spotlight, having grown up during his father, Pierre Elliot Trudeau’s time as Canadian prime minister. Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson talks with Evan Dyer, correspondent for CBC in Ottawa, about Trudeau’s win, and the makings of Canada’s first political dynasty.
