Florida Adds 4,423 Coronavirus Cases As Percent Positivity Increases Statewide

Updated Wednesday at 2:15 p.m.

Florida’s Department of Health on Wednesday confirmed 4,423 additional cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s known total to 821,123. Also, 32 resident deaths were announced, bringing the resident death toll to 16,922.

No new non-resident deaths were announced, leaving the non-resident toll at 209.

This is the fourth consecutive day that Florida reported more than 4,000 new coronavirus cases.

Boca Raton Residents Can Apply For COVID-19 Housing Relief Funds

Updated Wednesday at 9:22 a.m.

The city of Boca Raton is offering housing assistance to residents who have experienced financial hardships caused by COVID-19.

Through the city’s Rental and Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Assistance programs, residents can apply for relief funds, which offer up to $10,000 per household.

Because the city received an additional $230,285 in Phase 2 Coronavirus Relief Funds from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, the maximum assistance for the programs has increased from $5,800 to $10,000 per household.
