Newsroom Intern - Summer 2023Alexa Herrera is a third-year journalism student at the University of Florida.
She is a reporter for WUFT News, covering education, government and courts and crime. She has also racked up bylines in news organizations across the state through her political and investigative reporting with Fresh Take Florida. Further, Alexa is a copy editor for the Florida Political Review at UF, and she was previously a metro reporter for the Independent Florida Alligator.
She likes to read, travel, listen to Harry Styles and spend time with family and friends.
