President Donald J. Trump approaches a crowd of supporters at the Miami International airport late Tuesday night.

Coming fresh off of the rush after a reelection campaign kickoff rally in Orlando on Tuesday, President Trump flew to Miami and appeared briefly before an eager crowd of supporters on the tarmac at Miami International airport about a half hour before midnight.

President Trump arrived in the Air Force One and stepped out to greet a crowd of about a hundred at around 11:25 p.m. He made no statements to the press.

The incumbent 2020 presidential candidate was met by chants of “four more years” as he shook hands, smiled for photos, and autographed red “Make America Great Again” hats for close to 15 minutes before departing to his Trump National Doral golf resort, where he stated the night for the first time in his presidency.

A brief appearance in Miami was fitting for the president after his kickoff rally earlier in the evening at the Amway Center, where he announced he would run for a 2020 presidential bid to hundreds of supporters.

Prior to arriving, a staff member instructed supporters to prepare a lively welcome and carry out chants like “U-S-A” and “Trump” explaining to them that “he likes that.” He also let the late-night crowd of supporters know ahead of time that “he’s had a long day” from his rally.

Among the crowds behind the barricade on the tarmac were some of the president’s Cuban-American supporters in Miami, which included Orlando Gutiérrez Boronat, president of the anti-Castro Democratic Directorate and a member of the Assembly of Cuban Resistance, a Cuban exile coalition.

President Trump briefly held a Cuban flag handed to him in a friendly gesture to one of his most supportive groups.

The first fundraiser of his reelection campaign will take place Wednesday afternoon in a luncheon at his Doral resort.

Ticket prices for the event begin at $100,000 per person for basic entry and top off at $250,000 for a roundtable, lunch and a photo.

Republican National Committee co-chairs Ronna McDaniel and Tommy Hicks Jr., along with Trump Victory Finance Chairman Todd Ricketts, are hosting the event as the first of the campaign season to be followed by many more in an effort to reelect the president.

Following the event, he will return to Miami International airport to fly back to Washington, D.C.
