Sherrilyn Cabrera
PM Newscast and Digital ProducerSherrilyn Cabrera is WLRN's PM newscast and digital producer.
She got her start in journalism as a 2019 spring and summer intern for WLRN. After completing her internship, she continued to report, anchor and produce for the newsroom as a freelancer.
During the 2020 election, Sherrilyn was a reporting fellow for TCPalm, helping cover the election and its impact on local communities along the Treasure Coast. The following year, she worked with Boston NPR member station WBURas an associate producer for newscasts and worked with the newsroom's digital team.
A Miami native, Sherrilyn is a proud alumni of Miami Dade College and Florida International University, where she earned her journalism degrees. She is a fierce advocate for local news and is proud she gets to work in it — in her hometown.
