Questions remain about the implementation of Amendment 4, the Voting Rights Restoration for Felons Initiative, with many ex-felons seeking resources about how they can register to vote for upcoming elections in the state. Concerns remain about whether felons will be able to register if their sentence hasn’t been “fully completed.” The state legislature doesn’t reconvene until March. David Maer, the Director of Community Outreach for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, joined Sundial to provide an update on how Amendment 4 is likely to be implemented in 2019.
