Holiday Shopping

The holiday shopping season has been in full swing since 7 am Friday, when many of the nation's malls opened to swarms of shoppers. Thanksgiving weekend is often a gauge of overall sales volume in the weeks ahead. Economists and industry analysts are expecting this will be a good Christmas for retailers, but not the blockbuster season they saw last year. NPR's Elaine Korry reports from San Francisco.
