British drama with Lords, Ladies and one dubious doctor

Wednesday 8pm DOC MARTIN: From the Mouths of Babes - Comedy/drama - it's the curmudgeonly doctor with his dubious bedside manner, but he's not the only cranky one. It seems the Doctor has been losing sleep at night.  His son, James Henry now has teeth and he's not afraid to use them!  How will Martin and Louisa deal with the dreaded teething stage?  

 

With James teething, Martin and Louisa are desperate for more sleep. In an unusual display of mourning, Mrs. Tishell closes the pharmacy, inconveniencing everyone. This episode features new people's peers, hereditaries and political grandees as they try to change legislation, follow their personal passions and clash with the government, all in a Gothic palace where centuries-old ceremony and tradition dominate.

SECRETS OF BRITAIN'S GREAT CATHEDRALS explores 22 cathedrals and abbeys found throughout England and Wales, providing insight into these magnificent historical structures.

 

SECRETS OF BRITAINíS GREAT CATHEDRALS combines unprecedented access and drone footage of these buildings with interviews of historians and religious figures to expertly illustrate how these structures have become markers of time and history.  Narrated by actor Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Shakespeare in Love), the eight-part series follows a 1,500-mile journey, through England and Wales, visiting 22 of the most breathtaking and influential cathedrals. SECRETS OF BRITAINíS GREAT CATHEDRALS features spectacular footage of the abbeys' facades and spacious interiors, as captured by drones. The series also includes interviews with leading deans, bishops, historians, architects, stone masons, tour guides, music directors, choristers, and other experts in the field as they reflect on the countless ways Britain's cathedrals and abbeys reflect its history.  
 
 
 
 

Mia Laurenzo is a 35-year veteran of public television in Miami. She began her career learning every aspect of video production. Currently she is a writer, producer, on-air host and promotions coordinator for TV, radio and the web.  Her experiences include producing for a series, special events and historical documentaries.  As a native Floridian, she is a perfect fit for South Florida's Storyteller Station, WLRN.  She has produced several award winning, nationally distributed documentaries and is the recipient of three Suncoast Regional Emmys.
