In 1960, Peregrine Fisher's life is about to take a dramatic turn. Her aunt, Phryne, has vanished in the Papua New Guinea jungles, leaving behind only a pearl-handled gun and a cryptic note. According to Phryne's instructions, Peregrine inherits her aunt's wealth and the Greenwood mansion in Melbourne after six months. However, earning Phryne's esteemed seat at the Adventuresses' Club won't be as simple. When a double murder rocks the Astor bridal show, Peregrine sees an opportunity to prove herself. With her eccentric style and natural detective skills, she sets out to outsmart the police and make a name for herself.
