The Miami-based Office of Cuba Broadcasting, which oversees Radio and TV Martí and the Martí Noticias website, was spared from layoffs at Voice of America and the U.S. Agency for Global Media.

The federal judge's order also bars the Agency for Global Media from terminating grant funding for its broadcast outlets, including Doral-based Radio Martí.

The government-run media radio station first began broadcasting in 1985. Later, TV Martí, along with a digital website, were launched to beam Spanish-language news into Cuba.

A federally funded Spanish-language broadcaster called Soros — among other things — a "non-practicing Jewish financial speculator with flexible morals." Now, its parent agency wants answers.
