This series follows U.K. residents Dick Strawbridge and his partner Angel Adoree as they leave their two-bedroom apartment for a beautiful 45-room chateau in northern France. The only problem is it doesn't have electricity, water, or proper plumbing.
Lt. Col. Dick Strawbridge and his partner Angel Adoree work tirelessly to restore the Chateau back to its former glory. The couple want to create a beautiful venue for weddings and events, but they soon run into budgeting problems yet persevere, as the deadline to the wedding season and its hundreds of guests draws ever closer.
The first season follows Dick and Angel's quest to restore the chateau from its uninhabitable state by installing running water, heating and electricity throughout the 45-room castle, which had not been lived in for the past forty years. They are working against a deadline: their own wedding, which is to be held at the property.
Finding The Chateau - After years of searching the couple finally found their forever home, the derelict 19th century Chateau de la Motte Husson. Complete with a moat, pepper-pot turrets, and 200 pages of purchase documentation listing why not to buy The Chateau. This truly was 'The Beginning'!
