Florida Grand Opera Begins New Season
The Florida Grand Opera will begin its 2013-2014 season with a tribute to soprano singer Deborah Voigt October 26.
Voigt will not sing but young artists from the opera will be performing at the DuPont Building in Miami. Blogger Lawrence Johnson has more at South Florida Classical Review.
Grove Chamber Networking Event
Are you a fan of networking and/or discounted food? Lucky for you the Grove Chamber is having a “networker” at the Gibraltar on Grove Isle on July 30.
There is an entrance fee, but there is a 15 percent, happy-hour discount off food and beverages.

Bloomie’s Hosts “The Makeup Date”
Bloomingdale’s in Aventura will be hosting a beauty trend show. According to a blogger at Midtown Chica, this will be the “biggest beauty event EVER.”
The store will open up at 7:30 a.m. and the show will begin an hour later.
There is a $25 reservation fee.
