A northbound stretch of Interstate 95 was closed to traffic before dawn Thursday because of a crash that the Florida Highway Patrol says involves a fatality.
The crash near the exit to Pembroke Road (Exit 19) was reported shorty after 2 a.m., according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
One northbound express lane appears to be getting through the crash scene, but mainline I-95 traffic is being diverted off the highway at Pembroke Road. Delays are stretching back to Ives Dairy Road in Miami-Dade County.
