On Friday protesters marched through Wynwood cutting through Midtown and the Design District before making it onto I-95. Standoffs with police remained peaceful and the march continued through the streets into the night.
At intersections protesters stopped and took a knee, usually letting one of the organizers speak. During one stop protesters sang Happy Birthday to Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed by police in her home. The police say they were investigating a drug dealer but entered the wrong home. Taylor, an EMT, would have been 27 on Friday.
