Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran has issued a letter threatening to withhold money from the Broward School Board if they don’t reverse their decision to require all students to wear masks.
The letter was sent Tuesday night to Interim Superintendent Vickie Cartwright and School Board Chairwoman Rosalind Osgood, hours after the School Board reaffirmed a July 28 mask mandate.
Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Health have ordered that parents, not the school district, must have the choice of whether their children wear masks.
