Gov. Ron DeSantis said Monday that New York’s order for people to stay home to curb the spread of the new coronavirus led some people to leave — and come to Florida.
At a news conference in The Villages in Central Florida, the governor said that he spoke Sunday night with President Donald Trump about doing something about airline flights ferrying New Yorkers to Florida.
He didn’t say what he asked the president to do or how the president reacted.
