After redistricting, CD 20 is located entirely within Broward County. It’s traditionally been a primarily Black district, and was the main area Gov. Ron DeSantis pointed to when he insisted certain Florida districts had been improperly drawn to favor race.

Broward’s bluest seat has become one of the most contentious congressional races in the state. The event was the first time the candidates squared off since the field was finalized June 12.
