Starting in 1967 and continuing for 11 years, The Carol Burnett Show became one of the most popular and influential television comedies in American television history. The episodes chosen for this particular collection were done so in collaboration with Burnett herself, and star Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner alongside Burnett.
Special celebrity guests making appearances this season include Carl Reiner, Hedy Lamarr, Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey), Betty White, Rock Hudson, James Garner, and George Carlin, among others. Filmed in a relaxed theater setting, Burnett takes audience questions, cuts loose with her famous Tarzan yell, sings songs and performs comedic sketches that stand the test of time.
